Stillwater Hospice

Who We Are

Stillwater Hospice’s Mission is to provide compassion, comfort, and guidance through life’s journey. Stillwater Hospice does this by holding a high standard of values: • Compassion: Providing compassionate care to individuals and their families. • Comfort: Extending relief and encouragement to those affected by serious, life-limiting illness. • Guidance: Providing holistic knowledge and expertise to patients, families, and the greater community. • Inclusivity: Embracing different backgrounds and perspectives to create a nurturing and empowering environment that reflects the communities in which we serve. • Stewardship: Stewarding existing resources and seeking strategic growth in a way that will allow the organization to continue to thrive.

What We Do

Stillwater Hospice's well-established volunteer program helps in every aspect of our agency’s services. More than 150 volunteers assist staff to make the lives of our patients and their families easier, whether that’s sitting at the bedside to give caregivers a well-deserved break or just visiting patients as you would a friend. Our Volunteer Program even extends to caring for patients’ pets and tending our beautiful gardens on the Stillwater Hospice campus. We are proud of our Stillwater Salutes program, which matches volunteers who are veterans of our armed services with our patients who are also veterans, to recognize them and thank them for their service. Volunteers also help behind the scenes, assisting with clerical duties and special events. While our volunteers do not provide hands on care, the opportunities are abundant!
